Watch The Outdoors is a hand-curated library of outdoor video — over a thousand channels and tens of thousands of videos across 35+ activities, from hiking and fishing to overlanding and paragliding.
YouTube has incredible outdoor content — buried under everything else. Search "fly fishing" and the algorithm hands you whatever keeps you glued to the couch longest, which is exactly the wrong goal for people trying to get off it. So we flipped the model: humans pick the channels, only outdoor content gets in, and videos are sorted by activity instead of by what maximizes watch time.
Editors choose every channel in the library. New uploads from those channels flow in automatically and get sorted into activities — so the kayaking page is all kayaking, and the birdwatching page is all birds. Every video plays through the official YouTube player, so creators keep every view, ad, and subscriber. We're the map, not the territory.
