There are many trails above the tree line on the fells (above 1,000 metres), but also many lower down through the forests, especially around Oslo. The most popular holiday destinations are around Lillehammer, for example Sjusjoen and Nordseter. Other popular destinations are Beitostolen, Geilo, Venabygdsfjellet, Gålå and Skeikampen.
