People being unprepared and complacent is one of the biggest problems in emergency preparedness: people only start paying attention when the headlines get scary. Every time there is a major news story about war, fuel prices, shortages, power grid concerns, storms, inflation, or supply chain problems, people suddenly rush to buy food, generators, batteries, water filters, and whatever prepping supplies or survival gear is being talked about online. But once things calm down, many people go right back to normal and forget about preparedness until the next crisis shows up. In this video, I talk about why headlines can create urgency, but they usually do not create good preparedness plans. Panic-buying often leads to duplicate gear, poor food choices, untested equipment, wasted money, and supplies that never actually fit your real needs. The real threat for most people is not just the emergency itself, but complacency. When nothing bad happens for a while, preparedness slowly drops down the priority list, and that is when people get caught off guard. Visit Our Websites...
