How much electricity does a freeze dryer consume?

If anything this is an over-estimate. Most cycles take ~24 hours, but this one took a few hours more. It finished at 1:30 am, so we extended it until morning rather than packaging food in the middle of the night. Even so, 35¢ seems pretty insignificant compared to the cost of store-bought freeze dried meals, but we’ll add it all up next to figure out how many times we have to use the machine before we break even (cost of food, machines, packaging, and electricity).
