On May 22, 2026 my friend Holly and I backpacked to Cliff Lake via the Lucky Lake Trailhead. We passed by beautiful Senoj Lake where we had lunch both days, and then camped at Cliff Lake which is off the Pacific Crest Trail. The next day we took a little walk down the PCT (southbound) to check out Horseshoe Lake, Merrill Lake and Mac Lake, before heading back to the car. We hiked a total of 23.1 miles with 2,573 feet of elevation gain and 2,604 feet of elevation loss.
