We started the lesson by breaking down grip for the short game, focusing on a more forward-facing setup and reducing how much the upper arm is used on approach shots. After a quick rundown, I had him throw at the target, and within a few reps it was obvious he had already applied what we talked about a couple nights earlier and made the adjustment on his own. That completely derailed the original plan, and with his personality already pushing things in that direction, the session quickly turned into a one disc distance competition. From there, it turns into a chaotic and genuinely fun stretch of throws where we lean into the moment, push for distance, and see what holds up when things get a little unhinged.
