@WanderlustMAX I spend 2 nights at Beachside State Park on Oregon's central coast in mid April. The first night I left the rain fly off of my tent to view the moon, but at about 3:30 AM it started raining even though there was a 0% chance of rain in the forecast. I had to get dressed, get out of my sleeping bag and put the rain fly back on only to have the rain stop once I did. The next day I check out Beachside State Park and then head north for a very long walk on the beach all the way to the city of Waldport (where the forest meets the sea.) The wind was blowing wildly and made it a real challenge to walk the 5 miles from Beachside to Waldport. I came to the confluence of the Alsea river with the North Pacific Ocean and made some observations about the erosion taking place on the edge of the beach and of a man walking in a neon jacket who has an interestingly particular gait. I include footage from a previous trip to Cape Perpetua when I stayed at nearby Tillicum Campground. I fly my drone around Alsea bay panning from Waldport to Bayshore. I include a clip of walking across Waldport's Alsea Bay bridge. I also include a sunset drone flight where a large bird of prey flies in front of the camera. Lastly I filmed a sunset timelapse from a spot on the side of Alsea Bay. The next day I drive to Cape Perpetua's "Devil's Churn" where I hike the Trail of Restless Waters and view waves crashing up on the rocks. I observe a man getting splashed by a wave and crying out in surprise. Next I drive to Neptune state scenic viewpoint where I climb out on the rocks where the wave are breaking and film using different perspectives. I found an agate at this spot. I then continued along Neptune beach south and found a beach cave. I filmed underwater shots using my GoPro at Cummins Creek. I then walked back behind the bridge to get out of the sun, take a break and fly the drone to get an aerial view of the area. I ended up crashing the drone alongside the creek. I strapped the GoPro to the top of my Honda Civic and drove north to Driftwood beach for one final sunset and drone flight.
