Cocodona 250 miles this week - and those runners are in for a crazy challenge. Yes, crazy, that’s the right term. 200 Miles takes it’s toll on you in many surprising ways, and today I’m going through the most unhinge and extreme things that happens when you push your limits. I thought I knew what to expect given my experience at 100 miles, but well, spoiler alert…it’s not the same. Sure, there are common challenges - your legs and feet will hurt, you’ll have GI issues, you’ll get sleepy. But this is just the tip of the iceberg, because running 200 miles is…well, yeah, crazy! So the focus today isn’t the obvious things, but it’s things that happens to you and your body as you progress through multi day running events. Things that are relatively common yet often not discussed. Things that may be a little shocking.
