I pushed a $1,000 e-bike to its absolute breaking point. In this adventure, I took a budget-friendly JCM foldable e-bike (500W motor/10Ah battery) through the "Land of Waterfalls" on a grueling 40-mile solo mission. This wasn’t your typical rail-to-trail ride—I faced 13% mountain grades, a total battery failure, a popped tire, and I even managed to crash twice! From the beautiful rapids of the Eastatoe to the sheer cliffs of the single-track trails, I wanted to see if this "underdog" bike could survive the brutal mountain terrain.
