📍Quinnipiac River Gorge - Meriden, CT I recently discovered this hidden gem and decided to travel down to Meriden to check it out. The striking red bridge and brownstone pillars at the trailhead mark the beginning of this paved 1.3 mile path. This easy, flat trail checks a lot of boxes: ✅ Historic ✅ Riverside views ✅ Dog-friendly ✅ Accessible to wheelchairs & strollers While it was beautiful covered in snow, I do recommend visiting after the ice has melted. Some parts of the trail were difficult to walk. The best place to park is the lot by Hanover Pond. The Quinnipiac Trail continues alongside the pond.
